 I take this opportunity to welcome all of you in this blog (quickbookschennai.blogspot.in). I have created this blog to serve the Quick Books Accounting software users in India to keep them posted about the products, features, resources for training, consultation etc.,

INTRODUCTION:

I am Bala (V.S. Balasubramanian), 48 years presently living in Chennai for the past one decade, belong to a native of the temple city of Kumbakonam in  Tamilnadu.  I have more than 28   Years of experience in the Field of Accounts & Finance in various industries i.e. Trading, Service, Freight Forwarding, CHA, Software, ITES,BPO, KPO, etc., in India as well in Abroad. In my 28 years of experience, I have worked more than one decade (12 years) in West Indies (Caribbean Islands) and returned to Mother Land (Chennai) in 2004 for permanent settlement.

EXPOSURE TO ACCOUNTING TOOLS:

During my tenure Abroad, I had the opportunity to learn and use various Accounting Packages. To  name  some  of  the  reputed  ones,   Quick Books, Peach  Tree, Great Plains,  Real World  and few  others.  I not only used these packages, but also did some R&D and was able to recommend the right product to the right people. Back home in India, I learnt Tally, Oracle Form VI,  FACT, WINBSF, SAP B1, etc., and continued my R&D on the Accounting Packages.  Out of all the accounting software, I can claim that the QUICK BOOKS is very much user friendly Accounting Tool and does not require prior accounting knowledge to use and generate reports.

QUICK BOOKS ACCOUNTING TOOL:

QuickBooks is an accounting package which is developed by Intuit, Inc. (www.intuit.com) It was launched in the 90's and since then it is one of the market leaders in accounting software. This product is being used by almost 30 million Accounting Professionals all over the world particularly in USA, Canada, Australia, UK, Singapore, and Middle East. The software was designed to help the small business owners who had no formal accounting training and also for the non-accountants. Quick Books created such an impression and rapport that it is most commonly used and suitable accounting solutions for SMEs.  Moreover, Quick Books Accounting Software is the Management friendly Accounting Tool and can generate lot of MIS Reports without any Additional Customizations which are required in other expensive accounting tools as an add-on with additional cost.

QUICK BOOKS IN INDIA:

Quick Books arrived in Indian scene by 2000 and people started using the American Version and found it suitable for Indian Book Keeping with the statutory compliance . I have also been using QuickBooks for the last one decade in India for  various Industries, i.e. Software, IT, ITES, Retail, Wholesale, Trading, Service, Freight Forwarding, CHAs & Individual Professionals (Lawyers, CAs, Architects) etc., Following its success in India there were many mails and representations to Intuit (www.Intuit.com) for developing an Indian Version of Quick Books. I also used to send my ideas and suggestions from time to time and even now this is continuing.

After thorough consideration and market analysis, INTUIT has at last realized the potential of the Indian Market and developed an Indian Version of QuickBooks. To begin and test the movement of the product, INTUIT has launched the ONLINE version of the QuickBooks in the year 2011 with some of the features of Desktop Version and the same has received good amount of response among the Indian Accounting Professionals.

Though Indian Accounting Professionals are accustomed with Desktop Version, Intuit has somehow launched only Online Version of Quick Books (QBO).  This Product has lot of features and options for normal Book Keeping requirements for the Indian Scenario including provisions for VAT & Service Tax. QUICKBOOKS IMPLEMENTATION:

I have been using Quick Books products for the past 15 years and have acquired enough expertise in all the versions & Editions (Pro, Premier, Enterprise & online) of the QuickBooks namely US, Canada, Australia, UK and recently from 2011 onwards the Indian Version of QBO Edition.  I have implemented Quick Books for various industries as mentioned above and on request e-mail from you, I am willing to send you the sample reports and some accounting statements that have been prepared using Quick Books for various industries.

My Training is always one to one and face to face basis.
